MISSIONS

People helping people. Reaching out to those around us that need our help. Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church is committed to taking care of those that need us, the best way we can. Below are some of our most recent efforts.

All the beautiful sentiments
in the world, weigh less than
a single lovely action.

Local Mission Outreach

Around the Valley Outreach

Extended Hands Food Bank
Collect and delivery of non-perishable food occurs every week. Located in Fountain Hills, the food bank provides goods for 300-400 families monthly. Individuals also volunteer at the food bank sorting and boxing food.

Pockets Full of Change
Every Sunday we have red buckets to collect loose change for Extended Hands Food bank to help defray the extra expenses that are incurred in the daily running of such an important service.

School Supplies for Students
Collection of school supplies for McDowell Mountain Elementary School is held in July before school resumes in August. The collection is delivered to the school, where it is distributed to those students in need of our help.

Trendsetters
This is a charity that is an Arizona Tax Deductible gift. By contributing to this mission, you provide a weekly afternoon leadership program for children in grades 4-6. This program is based out of Fountain Hills Charter School.

Changing Lives Center & Phoenix Rescue Center
This ministry has brought music back into the lives of women and children who temporarily live at this campus in Phoenix. At the request of their program director, CD players and countless CDs have helped these people as they begin to rebuild their lives. We have a relationship with this facility, whose male counterpart is the Phoenix Rescue Mission, contributing to them again at Easter time. We look to continue this mission as their facility grows.

Water for Veterans at MANA House
Cases of water (especially in the summer) are collected and delivered to our local veteran organizations who in turn deliver them to downtown Phoenix.

One—N—Ten Teen Center
A shelter and counseling program serving the LGBTQ community.

Local School Projects
Our Congregation works with other churches to pack week-end backpacks for needy school kids. We collect other snacks for hungry students during the week as well. At Christmas we provide 4 complete meals to one family from each class as determined by the school nurse.
