The Mission of Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church is to “ Reach out to all with faith and love .” That outreach is put to the test in the wake of the COVID-19 virus. In such troubling and unsettling times many rightfully turn to the LORD for comfort. Regrettably, at this juncture we must balance the yearnings of the congregation with the realities of a pandemic outbreak. We find it necessary to temporarily alter our church activities for the safety of everyone.
PLEASED BE ADVISED that until further notice, FHPC will only hold the 9:00 am Sunday Service and the 11:15 Sunday Service and ALL other church activities are suspended. This will include, but is not limited to, Bible studies, committee meetings and other gatherings. There will not be any Fellowship time or food served between Sunday Services. These safety measures are on an interim basis until the full Session can address further precautions at their March 17, 2020 Meeting.
ALSO: If you fall under the higher-risk category (over 60 years of age, have underlying health conditions, have a weakened immune system, are pregnant, have recently returned from international travel or had a spouse/household family member who recently returned from international travel) you should consider worshipping remotely via online video broadcasts. Anyone displaying cold or flu-like symptoms, anyone caring for a sick individual who is exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms, or anyone whose children’s schools/daycares are closed due to a COVID-19 threat are advised not to come to FHPC but to worship remotely via online video broadcasts. If for any reason at the present time you are uncomfortable in a church gathering, you should worship remotely via online video broadcasts. Also keep in mind you may be, unwittingly, an asymptomatic carrier with the potential to pass the COVID-19 virus to others. Go to https://www.facebook.com/fhpresbyterianchurch/ to join the Sunday Worship Services remotely.
We are a family of Jesus Christ and have unwavering faith in Him. The love of our LORD will guide us through any troubled times for He walks with us at our side. May you all stay safe and healthy, and we look forward to gathering together once again as that family of faith soon.
